Abbotsford Lions Club Generosity Continues –

June 2006 – Since 1945 the Lions Clubs motto has been “to serve” whenever and wherever needed. The Abbotsford Lions Club has certainly been an exemplary model of that maxim.

Our local club has supported Abbotsford Community Services since 1980 when they donated to the ACS Food Bank. Since that time, the Abbotsford Lions Club has donated more than $112,000 to various programs at ACS.

Lions Clubs support charities locally and all over the world but according to Director Bev Nielsen, “we felt we needed to give back more to our own community”. On June 20th the Abbotsford Community Services Food Bank, Abuse Counselling & Support Services, Valley Youth Safe House and the Seniors Meals on Wheels programs each received $1000 from the Abbotsford Lions Club. Thank you!
