A Case for Diversity

Diversity Education and Resource Services (D.E.A.R.S) is designed to promote cross-cultural understanding and awareness within our community through workshops resources and assistance in policy development and organizational change. D.E.A.R.S provides guest speakers, facilitators and resources to schools and organizations in the community. Workshop topics include: racism, anti-racism response training, stereotypes and biases, diversity awareness, anti-homophobia, and responding to discrimination. In addition, a Train the Trainers model is available for organizations who would like their staff trained in providing anti-discrimination workshops and activities. Current projects include "Toward Safer Schools," "Multi-Media Anti-Racism Project," and "Safe Harbour."
