Program Offers plenty to Discover

Mission Statement:

Abbotsford Community Living is committed to encouraging and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to make informed choices through a variety of activities and opportunities which lead to increased independence and inclusion in their community.

Who we serve:

• Adults in our community currently in receipt of Disability benefits (MCFD Abbotsford)
• Adults in our community with a developmental disability
• Adults who wish to attend a day program geared to their individual needs
• Adults who wish to share their time in a supported environment

 Program Goals:

• To provide the opportunity to explore a variety of experiences in a supported setting.
• To Support people to identify goals and achieve their own definition of success.
• To provide support that promotes independence.
• Supports individuals to establish roots and relationships in their community and with their peers.

 Our activities include:

• Community outings
• Communication and relationship skills
• Learning opportunities
• Community recreation and volunteer options
• Skill building activities & games
• Physical activities
• Basic life skills, cooking, computers, public transit, friendship

This program is funded by:

• The Ministry for Children & Families, Community Living Services (MCFD)
• Abbotsford Community Services
