Employing People in Community (E.P.I.C. Program)
A component of Abbotsford Community Living that provides a range of vocational options for adults with developmental disabilities. Individualized programming includes counselling, assessment, placement, on-the-job support and pre-vocational skills training.
Serves the needs of:
- Adults With Developmental Disabilities
- Adults who live in Abbotsford who are currently in receipt of Disability Benefits
- Adults who are determined to be "Job Ready"
- Adults with a personal desire to join the work force

E.P.I.C. Goals
To develop a career path in
partnership with the
participant and their support network
To develop job placements in volunteer and work experience settings that may lead to paid employment.
Job Development
The job development staff explore the job market to identify work opportunities.
The job developer matches the skills and career goals of the job candidate to the employer's needs.
A job coach provides individualized support to the new worker during the training period.
Follow-up support to assist with job retention is available for up to three years.
