E.L.S.A. (English Language Services for Adults)
Provides English language instruction to new immigrants. We offer morning and evening classes in Abbotsford and an evening class in Mission. On-site child minding is available for morning classes.
Qualifications:
You must be 17 years old or older and a Landed Immigrant, Refugee, Refugee Claimant or Naturalized Canadian Citizen. You must fill in an application and have a copy of your permanent resident card, record of landing, ministerial permit, or Canadian citizenship card.
Description:
Students will improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in English. They will learn about Canada, for example becoming a citizen, politics, history and geography. They also will learn about working and living in Canada, for example rights and freedoms, housing, employment, and education.
Schedule
Classes run from September to June (continuous intake).
Part-time morning and evening classes available.
