Have you ever lost a file? How much space do you have on your hard drive? Do you have a virus scan program? This class provides you with the essentials necessary to manage files stored on your personal computer.

  • Learning file name skills
  • Using Windows Explorer to organize files
  • Creating and using folders
  • Using Search or Find
  • Using and clearing the Documents Menu
  • Creating and removing shortcuts to your desktop and quick launch
  • Determine how much space is still available on the hard drive
  • Scanning your hard drive for errors
  • Defragmenting the hard drive to improve performance
  • Creating a Startup Disk
  • Understanding Backup and Restore procedures
  • Using the system restore feature
  • Using the recycle bin
