The program is a partnership between the City of Abbotsford, the District of Mission and Abbotsford Community Services. The facility processes blue bag and drop off recyclables from the City of Abbotsford and the District of Mission. These recyclables go to well established markets in North America. Over 10,500 metric tonnes per year are diverted from the landfill.

The Recycling Program offers an extensive public awareness program. This includes school and community education in our on site classroom, and in a newly opened compost garden built in partnership with the Fraser Valley Regional District.

In the last school year over 3,000 students visited the site and received environmental education focused mainly on waste diversion.
