Employment Mentors' Program

For a schedule of our upcoming orientation sessions, please click here

The Employment Mentor Program’s main objective is “Building connections for employment” both from prospective professional mentors in our Abbotsford business community, and for our newcomers to Canada, specifically, the Abbotsford area.

Our mission is to work towards a full experience mentorship match that will improve the chances of employment for all newcomer professionals in their chosen field.

Get involved! Lead. Share. Inspire.
Your professional leadership and expertise is wanted.

Volunteer Mentors are...

  • Socially responsible community leaders who will invest ‘their time’ and effort while sharing their expertise and knowledge
  • Leaders with Canadian business or employment experience
  • Leaders willing to coach a newcomer within the same field while motivating them to achieve their goals
  • Leaders who can reflect the value of networking in our Canadian system and how it impacts our position in our business community/labour market/other fields

For our Newcomers…
You can expect to be inspired by one of our local leaders while they share their expertise that will add a networking abundance, and value, toward your professional pathway. Through the mentorship relationship, you will start the beginning process of your new journey into our Canadian labour market, employment system and workplace culture pre/post your job search.
