Do you love people? Are you good at accuracy? Then the position of Tax Client Relations might be perfect for you. We have hundreds of low-income individuals from diverse populations who come to us who need to have their taxes done by a team of volunteers who prepare taxes.

In order for volunteers to prepare those taxes, clients need to drop off their paperwork, and that’s where the role of Tax Client Relations volunteer comes in. We need people who love to help others, to assist our clients with filling out a form that gets included with the tax paperwork when dropped off. Along with ensuring the form is filled out completely, the volunteer will also ensure that the client has brought the appropriate papers with them (for example, a T4 slip). Many clients will come with questions, and our Tax Client Relations volunteer will need to know enough about taxes in Canada to answer a few basic questions.

Empathy and enthusiasm are critical skills for our Tax Client Relations volunteers.
