Preventative Maintenance Worker
Full-Time- 40 Hours/Week

POSITION OR TITLE:Preventative Maintenance Worker

REPORTING TO:Plant Supervisors; Production Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform pre trips on all equipment and vehicles used in product processing
  • Clean and wash all equipment and vehicles
  • Clean the facility
  • Keep records and documentation as dictated by Work Safe and recommended by the manufacturer
  • Complete emergency repairs in timely fashion
  • Be available to work during off-shift hours and on-call
  • Be able to work different shifts
  • Ensure designated shop area is maintained in safe, clean and organized fashion
  • Inspect all hand tools regularly to ensure safety
  • Flag any safety concerns for follow-up immediately to the plant supervisor
  • Knowledge of plant production (flow and location)
  • Working knowledge of baler and tier systems
  • Sort on the line or baling as required
  • Other plant/maintenance related duties

RELEVANT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Welding and fabricating experience an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude and background
  • Familiar with safe operation of equipment in conjunction with ACS Policy and Procedures and Work Safe regulations
  • Must have a satisfactory fitness assessment and be able to work in a dusty environment
  • Be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Forklift certification and skid steer training an asset
  • Willing to attend trainings
  • Must maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract

Compensation: $17.00/hr
