Job Connections for Immigrants
Published On January 12th 2018
It's back! From February 19th to June 2nd, the Job Connections for Immigrants program will be running for 12 eligible participants.
JCI's sought-after training includes classroom instruction on English language training, computer skills, job searches and life skills as well as in-demand certification courses from the University of the Fraser Valley in customer service, cashier training, WHIMIS, occupational first aid and management foundations.
Next, participants will participate in a 4-week practicum; additional job search support is also provided.
This intensive program will help ensure participants are ready to enter the workforce with the experience, insight into workplace culture and job connections they need to be successful in the growing retail industry.
If you or someone you know could benefit from participating in the JCI program, don't delay! A limited number of spots are available for those eligible to participate, and applications will close on January 31st.
